5’x7’6” Vintage Persian Gashghai Hand Knotted Area Rug. Red, Green, Brown, Tan dyed wool. Small well done repair, along with grip/fortification on the edge of rug. Medium pile, good quality. Gashghai rugs are knotted by the Gashgai nomads of Southwest Iran. These nomads move twice a year, from the Persian gulf to the Sagros mountains, due to their large herds of sheep and goats for which need sufficient space and food.
